Fahd Bin Ali Palace

Built in 1953 near the Amiri Diwan, Fahd bin Ali Palace is being thoughtfully repurposed as a home for Qatar Museums’ (QM) Archaeology Department and permanent heritage collection, preserving its historical legacy while supporting future research and public engagement.

Fahd bin Ali Palace is located on Al Rayyan Street in Doha. The palace spans around 3,700 sqm with buildings covering around 1,900 sqm of space.  The palace includes a historic cemetery in the courtyard and two warehouses, which were built to be used as a coin exhibition during the Asian Games in 2006. The palace will also become the host site of the permanent archaeology and heritage collection.
