3-2-1 Esports Lounge: An Experience Told by the Players

Esports is no longer merely a form of entertainment; it has become a fast-growing global industry that attracts millions of players and followers around the world. With this growth, the need for dedicated spaces that keep pace with the development of the sector has become more important than ever. This is where the 3-2-1 Esports Lounge at QOSM shines.

Qatar Museums (QM) spoke to two esports professionals to hear their views on the lounge and its impact on the future of this growing sector.

Al Blushi: “An ideal environment for developing talent”

25 year-old Bilal Al Blushi is an Omani player, who previously represented Qatar’s Al Sadd Club. A resident of Qatar, he began his professional career in 2020 and is now considered one of the region’s leading EA Sports FC professionals.

Al Blushi has taken part in numerous local and international tournaments, winning more than 30 titles. He also represents the Omani national team in major tournaments as the top-ranked player in the game.

Al Blushi, says that the 3-2-1 Esports Lounge has provided him with an ideal environment to prepare for tournaments, foremost among them the World Cup qualifiers.

He added that he trains at the lounge daily: “The lounge is suitable for professionals and amateurs alike. It is equipped to the highest standard, whether in terms of layout and screens, or the atmosphere that helps players focus, train and enjoy playing at the same time.”

Al Blushi, who plays professionally for Fanzaty Esports, also said, “The lounge has the necessary elements to bring together players and professionals from different esports titles. This helps in the exchange of expertise and in building an integrated esports community, while also encouraging young people to enter the field and showcase their talents.”

Al Emadi: “A professional training environment”

Qatari player Abdullah Al Emadi, a professional VALORANT esports player, believes that the 3-2-1 Esports Lounge represents a significant step forward for players in the country. Al Emadi feels the lounge provides a professional training environment with the specifications players need to compete at the highest levels. He confirms that the main issue players have faced in previous years was the poor quality of equipment used in many tournaments.

Al Emadi, 21, who has won several titles since turning professional at an early age, adds that the difference in quality is directly reflected in a player’s performance. He explains: “The mouse, keyboard, computer and screens all make a difference. When you play on high-spec equipment, you are able to show your true level.”

He also noted that the lounge is equipped with a large screen on which competitions and tournaments taking place there are displayed, encouraging public attendance and engagement with this growing community.

Al Emadi believes that having a lounge equipped to professional standards will help players prepare for tournaments in conditions that simulate official competitions, raising performance levels and giving them a real opportunity to develop.

Al Mulla: “The lounge reflects the future of esports in Qatar”

Since its launch in May 2026, the 3-2-1 Esports Lounge has become the world’s first dedicated esports space within an Olympic museum, in a step that reflects the growing interest in this sector and strengthens Qatar’s position as a regional hub for innovation in sport and technology.

Director of the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, Abdullah Yousef Al Mulla, says that the opening of the lounge came in response to the rapid growth of the gaming sector globally, and the investment, sporting and cultural opportunities it offers, alongside its role in engaging young people and promoting digital innovation.

Al Mulla confirmed that the lounge was designed specifically to be a meeting place for professional players and creative students, where they can come together to train, compete, exchange expertise and learn. He also noted that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has taken advanced steps towards including esports in the upcoming Olympic Games.

The 3-2-1 Esports Lounge represents a space that brings together training, learning and competition, opening new horizons for the next generation of players.
