Academic Programmes

  • 12pm: Curator-led tour (English)
  • 4pm: Afghanistan art stories

Art Education

  • 4–5.30pm: Geometry for teens workshop with Kaltham Al Thani (Children)

Library

  • Movie screening:

  • Storytime session:

    For children aged 3–11 years
    Language: Arabic and English
    Located in the Afghan tent and the children’s area.

Free Tours

  • Al Hajj tour (For adults and children 12 years and over)
    5.30–6.30pm:
    This exhibition takes visitors on an informative journey through the history of Makkah and the rituals of Hajj, presented through a curated selection of interpretive models and heritage-inspired displays.
  • Cinderella (MIA Library children’s section)
    5.30–6.30pm:
    This exhibition presents a visual interpretation of the classic story Cinderella through a sequence of sculpted scenes that narrate the story from beginning to end.

All library programmes and tours will end with a colouring activity and a quiz.

Guide

  • 9am: General Arabic language tour of MIA permanent galleries (Adults)
  • 10am: General English language tour of MIA permanent galleries (Adults)
  • 4pm: English language calligraphy tour (Teens)

There will be giveaways for all children who attend, as well as a fun all-day photo booth that is accessible to all.
