Although the 5/6 Initiative marks an important event in Qatari history, it also sparked a remarkable sense of community. For this year’s 5/6 Initiative, we encourage artists to propose projects that explore intangible commonalities in our diverse societies.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Artists will only be considered if their proposal meets the checklist at a minimum.
- Artists can be at any stage of their career but must possess strong skills to execute the proposed project.
- This opportunity is for artists residing in the GCC (applicants must hold a valid residence permit).
- The successful applicants will receive a commission contract to execute the proposed public artwork.
Past Commissions include:
Guillaume Rousere at Msheireb Metro Station, Shua’a Ali in Msheireb and Shouq Al Mana in Lusail.
