Bashayer Al-Badr (b. 1993) began exploring with Arabic calligraphy in 2016 to channel her emotions. This classic art form became a sincere space of expression. She often describes the art of Arabic calligraphy as ‘unbound to any restrictions or duties’.

Infinity Love is an Arabic calligraphy sculpture, which is handwritten in a nontraditional style. The letters ( ح haa) at the beginning of the word and ( ب baa) at the end meet and overlap to form the well-known infinity symbol.

This artwork symbolises deep-rooted endless love, to reflect belonging, solidarity and cooperation between citizens and residents, while also taking pride in the Arab identity and the diverse culture in Qatar. This artwork has become the message the artist wants to deliver to the world: to love infinitely.

This artwork is in honour of Her Excellency Sheikha Moza Al Misnad’s 25 years of support and commitment to the children, parents and employees at Al Shafallah Centre for Children with Special Needs.
