On the northwest coast of Qatar lies the small traditional village of Al Jumail. According to written historical sources, the village was inhabited by the Al-Kubaisa tribe, while the Al-Mahanda, Al-Bu Kawara, and Al-Humaidat resided there. To date is a favourite weekend destination for local families since it represents their heritage, history, and ancestral roots.
The village comprises a set of important traditional buildings, including a small mosque with its minaret still intact. This village dates back to the early nineteenth century and was still inhabited until the mid-twentieth century.
