Ismail Azzam: For Them
–
An Artist's Tribute
For Them is a personal tribute to 15 late and great Arab painters and sculptors by Iraqi artist Ismail Azzam, through realistic charcoal portraits.
Audiences are invited to come and see these respected artists as Ismail Azzam sees them, at Qatar Museums Gallery Katara from 26 April to 31 August 2015.
The late and the great
The exhibition presents Ismail Azzam's personal tribute to 15 Arab painters and sculptors from across the Arab world, including Qatar, Egypt and Palestine.
It pays a personal tribute to the memory of these great Arab masters through realistic charcoal portraits created especially for this exhibition and offers the opportunity to see a more personal view of the Arab world’s past great artists. The entire body of work has been made exclusively for this show.
