Mal Lawal (‘of the past’) is an exhibition that, since 2012, has showcased an incredible range of local and regional collectors. This third edition focuses on 26 Qatari general collectors and two Qatari car collectors and their collections.
Mal Lawal has evolved into a platform that transcends museum walls to record local heritage, enhance collecting practices and promote the collectors and their knowledge across Qatar. Through the Mal Lawal 3 virtual exhibition, the Al Barzah Forum, and private initiatives, Mal Lawal fosters dialogue between collectors and the museum community.
