The series consists of three specialised workshops taking place in October, offering participants an engaging learning journey focused on the protection of cultural property, world heritage, and intangible cultural heritage through practical exercises, simulations, debates, and interactive group activities.
Due to limited capacity, in-person participation is restricted to residents of Qatar. Participants from across the Arab region will also have the opportunity to join remotely through live streaming of each workshop. Participants will complete individual follow-up exercises after each workshop to ensure continued and meaningful engagement with the programme.
Through this initiative, outstanding participants from Qatar and internationally will be selected to participate in the 2027 Youth Empowerment Forum in Doha.
The workshops will follow an interactive and practical approach, allowing participants to explore how international cultural conventions are applied in real-world contexts.
Workshop Activities Include
- Practical exercises
- Simulations and scenario-based exercises
- Discussions and debates
- Collaborative group work
- Practical exercises related to UNESCO’s cultural conventions
