In collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC), the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) invites you to join its Turtle Hatching Programme at Fuwairet Beach where a new life begins under the moonlight.

Programme Agenda

  • 4.30-5pm
    Visitor Registration and Gathering
    Welcoming and registering visitors at the researchers’ rest area.
  • 5–5.15pm
    Welcome and Programme Introduction
    Brief presentation on sea turtle conservation efforts and nesting behaviour.
  • 5.15–5.30pm
    Beach Cleanup
    Group beach cleaning activity to promote environmental awareness and prepare for the release.
  • 5.30–6.15pm
    Turtle Hatchling Release
    Supervised release of turtle hatchlings at sunset by the MoECC team.
  • 6.15–6.30pm
    Light Refreshments
    Serving light snacks and beverages to attendees.
  • 6.30–7pm
    Visitor Departure
    Organising a safe and orderly departure.
