Lucien Steil's presentation is a poetical-sentimental homage to Léon Krier, narrating a lifelong mentorship, admiration and friendship. Referring to Russian psychologist Lev S. Vigotsky who famously wrote “through others we become ourselves”, Lucien Steil highlights Léon Krier's mythical journey of a hero. Undefeated, Léon Krier's example and teaching and his passionate call for a Global Ecological Project remains increasingly pressing, inspiring and relevant. His design work offers not only practical reasons and a proportionate vision of a better future: it also encompasses love, kindness and generosity as the very foundation of traditional architecture and urbanism.
