About the Project Awards
The Tasweer Project Award offers 30,000 QAR per awardee to support the initiation, further development, or completion of a photographic project by photographers resident in Western Asia and North Africa (WANA). Awardees gain opportunities to exhibit and participate in Tasweer Photo Festival Qatar’s exhibitions, activities, and the 4th edition festival in 2027. The award also provides photographers with visibility, mentorship opportunities, and inclusion in the growing Tasweer community of emerging, established, and accomplished photographers.

Key Features of the Tasweer Project Awards:
Eligibility:
Photographers aged 18 and above, residing in Western Asia and North Africa.
Grant:
30,000 QAR per awardee to support their photographic projects.
Support:
Awardees are supported in initiating, developing, or completing their photographic projects.
Showcase:
Awardees' work is exhibited as part of the Tasweer Photo Festival Qatar's public and online program.
Engagement:
Awardees participate in the festival's events and engage with a global audience.
Curatorial Support:
Tasweer's curatorial team works with awardees to develop their projects and prepare them for exhibition.
Publication:
Award-winning projects are often published in a dedicated magazine.
Online and In-Person Presentations:
Awardees present their work through various platforms, including online and in-person events.
