Based on the Neighbours exhibition at the Swiss Pavilion of the 18th Architecture Biennalein Venice 2023, curated by Karin Sander and Philip Ursprung, this lecture explores architecture’s potential to communicate beyond institutional and cultural barriers. It highlights the role played by the Department of Architecture of ETH Zurich in developing this project.

Philip Ursprung

Philip Ursprung is a professor of the history of art and architecture at ETH Zurich. From 2017–2019, he served as dean of the Department of Architecture. In 2023, he represented Switzerland together with Karin Sander at the Architecture Biennale Venice.
