Participants will explore Islamic art objects related to dining and hospitality; they will then conduct guided research in the MIA Library to inspire creative ideas. After that, participants will develop a design concept for a decorative ceramic plate and bring it to life in a professional ceramics studio.
In connection with the Museum of Islamic Art’s (MIA) A Seat at the Table: Food & Feasting in the Islamic World exhibition and Ceramic Cube Workshop, this four-part workshop invites young adults to explore identity, culture, and belonging through art and design.
