Qatar Preparatory School (QPS) is a new creative hub currently being developed for Qatar Museums under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. Built in 1962 as a public school, it has graduated some of the most prominent leaders in Qatar today, including HH Father Emir, HH Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, the former Prime Minister of Qatar, and HE Yusuf Kamal, former Minister of Finance.
This tour, led by Director Dr Thomas Modern, offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into QPS before it officially opens to the public, exploring the transformation of the space into a vocational school for creative industries. A local practising artist will provide an in-depth look into the facilities to be developed to support the needs of the creative community.
