Jotun Colour Academy for Designers is a professional colour-learning programme developed by Jotun in collaboration with Natural Colour System (NCS). Designed for interior designers, architects and other design professionals who make colour and paint decisions, the Academy combines colour science, design thinking and practical paint knowledge. Participants explore colour perception and communication, colour psychology and culture, colour harmonies, the colour design process and the NCS colour language. The programme also introduces practical aspects of paint, including how colour, finish and application influence the look and feel of a space. Through guided exercises, participants apply the learning to design challenges and develop colour combinations and mood boards for real project contexts. The programme is delivered by Mahira Saqib, Jotun MEIA Regional Colour Marketing Manager and NCS Certified Colour Trainer, and concludes with Jotun/NCS certification in line with the applicable Academy format.
Day 1 will be fully dedicated to the Jotun Colour Academy, running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing participants with a strong foundation in colour principles, colour psychology, NCS understanding and the paint & colour methodology.
Day 2, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, will continue to build on this knowledge by integrating key elements of the Colour Academy with Jotun's Colour Trends 2027, offering an exclusive preview of the upcoming trends direction, Colour Mix & Match, and ending with a small workshop creating a mood board with Colours of Qatar.
