Bas Smets

Bas Smets (b. 1975, Belgium) is a landscape architect whose multidisciplinary background has shaped a distinctive approach to creating innovative and sustainable urban environments. He founded his Brussels-based practice in 2007, which has since realised over 50 international projects, including LUMA Parc des Ateliers in Arles, Thurn & Taxis Park in Brussels, the Sunken Garden in London, and the Himara Waterfront in Albania. Smets’s work proposes a compelling vision for more resilient and climate-responsive cities.
