By documenting these narratives through storytelling and digital tools, the workshop aims to preserve family heritage, strengthen intergenerational relationships, and contribute to a community memory archive reflecting diverse Qatari experiences.
- Participants will attend a storytelling workshop where they will learn the basics of oral history and interviewing. Sample stories and guiding questions will be provided to inspire their approach.
- After the session, youth will complete a family reflection assignment, in which each participant interviews an elder family member using audio or video tools.
- Youth will gather again virtually to discuss their recordings and refining them with facilitators’ assistance. Each story will be categorised by theme, such as migration, education, food, or resilience.
