The Arts Intensive Study Program (AISP) is an annual nine-month program at the Fire Station, open to artists of all nationalities.

The program offers an intensive curriculum that includes practice-based workshops, seminars, group critiques, and lectures led by established artists, curators, and theorists from around the world.

By combining studio practice, theoretical input, and critical discourse, the AISP aims to complement traditional art education and foster a new generation of innovative and critically engaged artists.

AISP provides a transformative environment for emerging visual artists to immerse themselves in an interdisciplinary setting, refine technical skills, deepen conceptual approaches, and expand their artistic practices.

For the inaugural AISP in 2025, an international panel of experts selected 23 artists from Qatar and 14 other countries out of 996 applications.

Bridging diverse perspectives, the program is a cornerstone to Qatar Museums’ vision to serve as a global centre for artistic innovation and cultural exchange.

Through the year, international tutors participate in the program and often deliver public lectures.

The current Arts Intensive Study Program (AISP) will culminate in a final exhibition in October 2026.

Application Process and Eligibility

Artists are invited to apply to the AISP through an annual Open call announced at the start of each calendar year. The program welcomes artists of all nationalities, working in any artistic medium, between the ages of 20 and 35.

Fire Station is pleased to announce 23 accepted artists from 14 countries for the 2025–2026 cycle.
