This session offers hands-on tips for architectural and outdoor photography while engaging with Qatar’s cultural legacy at one of its most iconic landmarks.

About Maryam Al- Hail:
Maryam Al-Hail is a Qatari visual artist and storyteller whose work explores memory, heritage, sports, architecture and city life through her work. With a background in communication from Northwestern University in Qatar, she moves fluidly between film, photography, and multimedia design. Her short film Maghrib earned international recognition at the Cannes World Film Festival, while her photo essay on historical sites in Qatar was showcased at the Huawei x Tasweer Photo Festival, earning her a spot as an XMAGE Awards finalist.

About the Photowalk:
In celebration of the National Museum of Qatar’s 50th anniversary, Tasweer is delighted to host a special photowalk exploring the museum’s striking architecture, and the story it tells between the past and present.
Guided by Qatari photographer Maryam Al-Hail, participants will explore the museum’s exterior spaces, capturing the striking contrast between the historic Old Palace and the contemporary design of the National Museum of Qatar.
This photowalk offers a unique opportunity to engage with Qatar’s cultural legacy while learning practical techniques in architectural and outdoor photography in one of the country’s most iconic landmarks.
