This book, published to accompany the Arabick Roots exhibition, held in 2012 at the Museum of Islamic Art, focuses on two important stages in scientific history: the scientific revolution of 17th and 18th century Europe, and the Golden Age of the Islamic world. It reminds us that each culture is indebted to the other, and that cultural dialogue is the cornerstone of human progress. The exhibition was a collaborative effort between the Museum of Islamic Art, the Orientalist Museum, Qatar National Library, the Royal Society London and Tate Britain.
