Showcasing more than 60 paintings, sculptures and readymades, Jeff Koons: Lost in America takes readers on a unique journey through the artist’s career. Edited by curator Massimiliano Gioni, the book features works from his earliest series in the 1980s to his latest productions, with each section introduced by the artist’s own words. Ranging from memories of his childhood in Pennsylvania to his experiences as a father, his statements provide fascinating insights into the inspiration behind some of his most iconic pieces. Published to accompany the major exhibition launched in Doha in November 2021, the catalogue includes an in-depth interview with Jeff Koons by the curator, as well as essays by the well known art critic Dodie Kazanjian and Qatari-American writer and artist Sophia Al Maria.
