This illustrated book presents a fascinating part of oral heritage: children’s rhymes. The creativity and imagination of Qatari women and other caregivers are on full display in this publication, with many of the selected rhymes still being used to this day to teach children good morals and behaviour. They are also sung during many cultural holidays and celebratory occasions.
This book aims to emphasise regional heritage and to preserve these oral traditions for future generations.
