Ahmed Al Bahrani is a renowned Iraqi sculptor known for his large public art installations. Bahrani primarily works in iron and bronze, often exploring the expressive potential of the human form.
Born in a small village in Iraq, Al Bahrani spent his childhood shaping clay on the banks of the Euphrates River. Bahrani studied and later taught at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad. He left Iraq under the rule of Saddam Hussein and now lives between Sweden and Qatar.
