The Al Shaqab Riding Academy in Qatar began in 1992. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani founded it to protect the tradition of Arabian horses and promote horse riding in the country. The Academy sits inside the large Al Shaqab equestrian centre in Education City, Doha. It offers riding lessons, stable care training, and education about horses. The Academy welcomes people of all ages and skill levels.
