VCUarts Qatar is the Qatar campus of Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts. It opened in 1998 in Education City, Doha. It was the first American university campus in Qatar and plays a leading role in the country’s growing creative landscape.
VCUarts Qatar offers undergraduate degrees in graphic design, interior design, fashion design, painting and printmaking, and art history. Notable alums include Qatari fashion designer Wadha Al Sulaiti, visual artist Fatma Al Obaidly, and artist Bouthayna Al Muftah.
In 2014, VCUarts students created and donated the Ramadan Feast installation.
