Mounira Al-Solh

Lebanese-Dutch artist Mounira Al Solh (b. 1978) creates multidisciplinary work exploring immigration, feminism, and identity.

Her art explores themes such as immigration, feminism, and identity, often focusing on stories from the Middle East.

Born in Beirut, Al Solh studied fine arts at the Lebanese University and later at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. She draws on her own life, as well as the experiences of her family and community, to create personal and thought-provoking work.

Al Solh lives and works between Beirut and the Netherlands.

She has exhibited widely in major museums, both in group and solo exhibitions. Her work has featured at many art biennials, including representing Lebanon in the 60th Venice Biennale.
