Tasweer Internship 1: Community Outreach
Period of Internship: 3 months
About This Internship
The intern will be supporting community communication and activities during the Open Call process and 2023 fall live programming, which will include workshops, talks, lectures and photo walks. Some of the main responsibilities will include planning and enhancing our community communications and workshops. The intern will work with our Community Outreach coordinator to brainstorm and execute on outreach projects with our various audiences. Intern should be available locally in Qatar to work physically in the office.

Qualification Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Skills Required:
- Strong public relations skills
- Interest in photography and visual art
- Strong knowledge of social media and other basic platforms
The intern will be engaged in the following:
- Maintaining a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances and other communication opportunities
- Nurturing new and old relationships with collaborative partners, workshop instructors and photographers
- Developing and maintaining the workshop process and plan
- Assuring the confirmation of venue, catering and needed equipment
- Creating a record of roundtables and workshops
- Ensuring inquiries are being answered in all our social media platforms, Instagram, Facebook and emails
- Supporting all aspects of the awards process and open call applications
Tasweer Internship 2: Social Media

The intern will play an important part in assisting with social media campaigns, platform upkeep and management of digital assets during the 2024 Tasweer Awards Open Call and 2023 fall live programming, which will include workshops, talks, lectures and photo walks.

The intern will be engaged in the following:
- Social Media Content Planning: Assist with the development of comprehensive social media content planning for the Photography Festival. This includes identifying key themes, scheduling posts and ensuring content aligns with Tasweer's vision and goals.
- Digital Asset Management: Assist in the organisation and maintenance of the festival's digital assets including texts, kits, photos, videos, reels and other media and ensure easy access to these assets for internal and external stakeholders.
- Content Curation: Assist in the curation of high-quality visual content from photographers, speakers and attendees to feature on Tasweer's social media platforms.
- Social Media and Digital Strategic Development: Assist in developing and implementing strategies to increase Tasweer's online visibility and engagement across digital and social media platforms.
- Social Media Calendar: Assist in the management of Tasweer’s social media calendar to coordinate posts with live events, workshops and other activities.
- Monitor Social Media Engagement: Assist in tracking and recording Tasweer’s social media performance metrics and engagement levels to analyse the effectiveness of content and campaigns.
- Online Collaborations: Assist and work closely with participants and stakeholders to plan, create and deliver cross-platform online content, ensuring timely and proper attribution.
- Crisis Management: Assist in the handling of social media communications during unexpected situations, maintaining a positive and professional online presence for Tasweer.
- Trend Monitoring: Assist with updates and stay on track with current social media trends, tools and platforms to recommend innovative strategies.
