Security and Surveillance Internship 1

Period of internship: 6 months

About This Internship

The intern will gain valuable experience by understanding the role of the Security and Surveillance Department within corporate settings, learning about the mission and functions of the department at QM, exploring the services provided to internal and external stakeholders, and understanding the relationship and coordination between QM’s Security Department and the State’s Ministry of Interior.

Specialist area: IT/ Computer Science or any other relevant field

Qualification Required: Diploma Degree/ Bachelor’s Degree

Skills Required:

  • Very good knowledge of Computer Science, programs and applications.

The intern will:

  • Obtain an understanding of the Security and Surveillance Department, its profiling, mission, vision, role and activities and how it supports QM.
  • Get to know and understand the different sections within the Security Department, their role and their day-to-day activities.
  • Fully understand the technical system in place and other security tools, devices and apparatus. Interns will also understand procurement, contract management & coordination and their importance to the business.
  • Understand the ERB/Oracle system and how to initiate a purchase order process and the lifecycle of procuring goods/ and services through the system.
  • Understand the importance of documentation and record keeping.
  • Understand the process of communication, time management, teamwork and organising of events.

  • Knowledge of contract management, record keeping, documents and contract tracking skills, invoicing management and payment process.
  • Time management, computer proficiency, attention to detail, communication, organisation, adaptability, problem-solving, customer service, multi-tasking, and confidentiality.

The intern will:
