Qatar Auto Museum Internship 1: Exhibitions

Period of Internship: 6 months

About This Internship

The intern will work closely with the exhibitions team on all aspects of exhibition planning and delivery.

Specialist area: Museum Studies or Related Field (Art History, Cultural Studies, History and Archaeology, etc.)

Qualification required: Bachelor's degree

The intern will:

  • Gain practical experience in conceptualising and developing exhibition themes, narratives and content that aligns with QAM's mission and appeals to diverse audiences
  • Conduct comprehensive research on exhibition topics, artefacts and themes to inform curatorial decisions and enhance exhibition content
  • Learn and assist in coordinating exhibition logistics, including artwork loans, transportation, installation and conservation requirements
  • Work closely with exhibition designers, artists and fabricators to implement design concepts, layouts and interactive elements that enhance visitor engagement
  • Gain hands-on experience in art handling, installation techniques and gallery preparation to ensure the successful installation and presentation of exhibitions
  • Assist in documenting exhibition processes, cataloguing artefacts and preparing exhibition-related materials such as labels, panels and interpretive guides
  • Participate in evaluating exhibition impact and visitor feedback to assess exhibition effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Attend workshops, seminars and training sessions related to exhibition development, museum practices and professional growth in the museum field

Qatar Auto Museum Internship 2: Education

Period of Internship: 6 months

The intern will focus on education, community engagement, outreach and communication.

  • Conduct research on museum target audience, community demographics and educational trends to develop tailored outreach initiatives and educational programme offerings
  • Learn and implement strategies to foster meaningful relationships with schools, community groups and cultural organisations to promote QAM's educational initiatives
  • Work closely with educators and museum staff to develop and deliver educational content, workshops and events that engage and inspire QAM’s audience
  • Develop skills in creating educational content, including interpretive materials, lesson plans and multimedia resources to enhance educational experiences
  • Assist in planning and executing outreach programmes, community events and partnerships to broaden QAM's community impact and reach
  • Enhance verbal and written communication skills through interactions with colleagues, educators and external stakeholders, effectively conveying QAM's educational mission and programmes

Qatar Auto Museum Internship 3: Marketing

Period of Internship: 6 months

About this Internship

The intern will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of marketing campaigns and tactics to promote QAM’s offerings.

Specialist area: Marketing or Related Field (Digital Media, Brand Management, Advertising, etc.)

  • Conduct comprehensive market research on automotive enthusiasts, visitors and potential audiences to inform marketing campaigns
  • Learn and implement digital marketing techniques including SEO, social media marketing and email campaigns to promote QAM's exhibitions and events
  • Work closely with experienced marketers to develop and implement marketing campaigns effectively
  • Gain insights into QAM's brand identity and contribute to maintaining brand consistency across various marketing materials and channels
  • Develop skills in crafting engaging content for social media posts and promotional materials to attract and engage target audiences

Qatar Auto Museum Internship 4: Curatorial

Period of Internship: 6 months
