National Museum of Qatar Internship 1: Learning and Outreach
Period of Internship: 3 months
Location: National Museum of Qatar
About This Internship
Interns will have the chance to implement their knowledge towards enhancing student learning. They will be introduced to the magical world of museum education through exploring best practices in learning materials and resources. Interns will be encouraged to design and develop educational resources for students with the aim of deepening students’ understanding of the history and culture of Qatar.
Specialist area: Fine Art, Graphic Design
Qualification Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Skills Required
- Good communication skills (verbal and non-verbal communication)
- Good computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Good knowledge of working with Adobe programs
- Creative with developing learning materials and resources
The interns will be:
- Introduced to the concept of museum education
- Collaborating with museum educators in developing and delivering student programmes
- Collaborating with museum art educators in developing and delivering educational programmes for school students
- Developing learning resources and materials for students to be utilised on- and off-site
- Developing visual materials for the programme’s marketing
