The Marketing and Communications department effectively communicates and promotes Qatar Museums (QM) and its entities’ missions, objectives, values and activities across multiple channels, utilising a diverse suite of marketing tools and traditional and social media platforms to optimise audience engagement and participation.

Marketing and Communications Internship: Internal Communications

Period of internship: 3 months

About This Internship

The intern will gain hands-on experience in Internal Communications by working on real projects that enhance their writing, design, and collaboration skills, while also helping them discover their strengths in a dynamic work environment.

Specialist area: Communications / English Language / Translation English and Arabic / Marketing

Qualification required: Bachelor’s degree

Skills required:

  • Content creation in English and Arabic

The intern will:

  • Introduction to the Internal Communications team, their roles, and ongoing projects.
  • Shadowing team members to understand daily tasks and workflows.
  • Familiarisation with key communication tools and platforms.
  • Introduction to article writing for QM's internal platforms.
  • First assigned articles: covering exhibitions, events, or employee stories.
  • Collaborating with team members for editing and feedback.
  • Learning best practices for structuring engaging and informative content.
  • Interns will reach out to employees to conduct interviews for testimonials.
  • This task enhances communication skills and helps interns build valuable professional connections
  • Interns with design skills will be encouraged to create banners and graphics to accompany their articles.
  • Introduction to the Weekly Highlights tool (Campaign URL Builder), ensuring interns understand how to curate and distribute key information every Sunday.
  • Development of user-friendly guides on tools and processes used in Internal Communications.
  • Independently researching and writing articles with minimal supervision.
  • Exploring multimedia integration (images, videos, or infographics) for enhanced engagement.
  • Assisting in planning internal campaigns or events.
