Learning & Outreach Internship

The Learning and Outreach department at Qatar Museums focuses on education and covers a variety of activities centred around schools and families.

Please note: The start date of this internship is flexible based on the availability of the candidate and the requirements of the department.

Learning & Outreach Internship: Programme 1

Period of Internship: 3 months
Location: Various

About This Internship

The intern will have learning opportunities for the development of skills in cultural offerings, museums, membership programmes, database management, museum programming and communications.

  • Communicating with Culture Pass members
  • Managing queries and solving problems
  • Organising programmes and events
  • Reaching out to partners and forming collaborations with organisations

About This Internship

The intern will learn about the methods that QM Learning and Outreach uses to engage with teachers and students. They will get exposure to planning and organisation skills.

Qualification Required: Bachelor’s Degree

  • Microsoft Office (Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Reporting and presentation skills
  • Language: (English-Arabic communication)

The intern will be engaged in the following:

  • Researching topics related to education in international museums
  • Archiving files
  • Obtaining an understanding of education and our role with the Ministry of Education (role profiling)
  • Preparing for Museum Development Programmes project
  • Shadowing relevant experts in Museum Development Programmes
