Digital Experience Internship 1: Digital Content section

Period of Internship: 6 months

About This Internship

This internship provides hands-on experience in digital content management, web publishing, and SEO, offering valuable skills for a career in digital media and journalism. It's a great opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain practical experience within a leading cultural institution.

Specialist area: Journalism, Digital Media or a related field.

Qualification Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Skills Required:

  • Strong writing and editing skills in [English/Arabic], with an eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms is a plus.
  • Understanding of SEO and web analytics is a plus.

The intern will:

  • Assist with uploading, editing and managing website content using a Content Management System (CMS).
  • Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines, accessibility standards and SEO best practices to improve visibility and user engagement.
  • Work closely with internal teams to curate and update website content for exhibitions and events.
  • Regularly review website content, identify areas for improvement, and assist in maintaining an up-to-date and user-friendly website.

Digital Experience Internship 2

Period of Internship: 3 months

About this Internship

This internship is a crash course in the field of museum technology. The intern will learn and apply skills through weekly assignments.

Specialist area: Computer Sciences, Data Science, APIs, cybersecurity

Qualification Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Skills Required: Python, Bash etc.

The intern will: 

  • Perform user studies
  • Collect data through observation and surveys
  • Analyse data
  • Create data visualisations
  • Research innovative projects and leading practitioners in the field of museum technology
  • Create quick prototypes

Digital Experience Internship 3: Digital Product Management section

Period of Internship: 6 months

About this Internship

This intern will understand the role of DE and Digital Products in the delivery of QM digital strategy and digital transformation projects. The internship will provide a space for the interns to apply their skills and knowledge in a safe workplace environment (beyond their academic walls) as well as teach them new skills and knowledge

Equip interns with knowledge about product management and product methodologies, as well as provide them with professional guidance.

Specialist area: Business Administration

Qualification Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Skills Required: 

Skills in project management, organisation, process documentation, planning, communication (written and verbal). Must be EN and AR speaker. Key eye to detail. Continuous learner. Hard worker

The intern will: 

  • Assist in product research and analysis.
  • Help manage project timelines and documentation.
  • Collaborate with teams on digital strategy initiatives.
  • Participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions.
  • Learn and apply product management methodologies.
  • Assist in content updates and quality checks.
  • Research industry trends and best practices.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on findings

Digital Experience Internship 4: Digital Product Management section

Period of Internship: 6 months

Interns will gain a foundational understanding of digital experience and product management through hands-on learning, developing essential workplace skills and industry insights. The program covers key methodologies and tools while fostering a safe space for professional and personal growth. Additionally, interns will network with professionals and receive guidance to support their career development.

Specialist area: Information Systems / Computer Science

Qualification Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Skills Required: 

Skills in software development, or UX/ UI design, or quality testing, workflow documentation, project management, organisation, planning, communication (written and verbal).  Key eye to details. Continuous learner. Hard worker

The intern will:

  • Assist in software development, UX/UI design, or quality testing.
  • Support workflow documentation and project management.
  • Conduct research and analyse data.
  • Collaborate with teams and communicate findings effectively.
