Design Doha Internship 1

Period of Internship: 3 months

About This Internship

The intern will assist in planning, coordination, and on-ground support for Design Doha's events and exhibitions. They will also gain hands-on experience while helping ensure high-quality cultural experiences and reinforcing Design Doha’s role in creativity and innovation.

Specialist area: Events and Programmes

The intern will:

  • Assist in organising and coordinating events, workshops, and networking sessions.
  • Support event logistics, including setup, catering, and guest registration.
  • Research and compile potential speakers and panelists.
  • Prepare event briefing documents.

  • Coordinate and support volunteer task assignments.

    • Manage logistics, schedules, and transportation.

  • Attend meetings, take notes, track action points, and liaise with designers/ curators.

Design Doha Internship 4

Period of internship: 6 months

About this internship:

The intern will assist in coordinating exhibition logistics, including shipping, installation, and dismantling. Support the planning and execution of transportation, customs clearance, and on-site setup. Work closely with vendors and project managers to ensure timely delivery and smooth operations. Gain hands-on experience in scheduling, inventory management, and workflow coordination for successful exhibition execution.

Specialist area: Exhibition Designer and Logistics Management

Period of internship: 3 months

About this internship:

The Design Doha Internship offers hands-on experience in communication, coordination, and research for the Design Doha Prize. Interns will assist with correspondence, database management, submission tracking, and industry engagement, contributing to Doha’s growing global design presence.

Specialist area: Business Administration

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree/ University Student

The intern will:

  • Communication and coordination:
  • Assist in coordinating communication between the design team, judges, participants, and sponsors.
  • Help with drafting emails, invitations, and general correspondence related to the prize.
  • Update and maintain the prize’s contact database and track communication with participants and partners.
  • Administrative support:
  • Assist with the submission process, including reviewing applications, organizing design entries, and communicating with applicants.
  • Manage and track the collection of design materials from participants.
  • Provide general support to the program specialist and other team members as needed.
  • Research and documentation:
  • Compile a database of past and current participants, including their work and design philosophies.
