Qatar International Food Festival #QIFF

The annual Qatar International Food Festival kicked off yesterday at the Museum of Islamic Art and will run until Saturday 28th March.

Brought to us by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and Qatar Airways, and hosted in our very own Museum of Islamic Art Park, this sixth edition of QIFF consists of five days of gastronomic alfresco eating, drinking and cooking, as well as family fun and entertainment.

Tickle your tastebuds!

In celebration of Qatar-Turkey 2015, there'll be a dedicated zone where Qatari and Turkish chefs will cook up their delicious local cuisines. You can also enjoy live cooking by chefs from different hotels around Qatar and take a free cooking course to learn how to prepare traditional and innovative Qatari and Gulf dishes! 

Come and dine on board a BBQ donut or a traditional dhow on the MIA waterfront. And for something really differently, the 'high-Flying cuisine' is back, where diners are served a five course meal while suspended some 60 metres above the ground.

Entrance to the food festival is free, and dozens of food stalls will be set around the park offerings dishes for QR10 to QR25.


The MIA car park will be closed to the public for the duration of QIFF. 

Visitors can park at the Souq Waqif underground car park or use the park-and-ride service at the Marriott Doha hotel on the Corniche and at the old airport arrivals terminal. Free shuttles buses will take visitors from these parking locations to MIA.



The food festival officially opened on Tuesday 24th March. It will be open from 1pm to 10:30pm, from Wednesday, 25th March through until Saturday 28th March. 

Daily fireworks shows will take place at 8:30pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and at 9:30pm on Friday 28th, the last day of the festival.
